Support Management Vice Presidents at Acadian Companies are responsible for the operations of their respective divisions, departments, and/or regions. Vice Presidents: Vice President of Finance | Vice President/Controller | Vice President of Human Resources | Vice President of Legal and Governmental Affairs | Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing | Vice President of Fleet Maintenance | Vice President of Client Services | | Vice President of Finance: Timothy Burke Timothy J. Burke (Tim), Vice President of Finance, oversees many aspects of Acadian Companies' financial systems, including financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, contract analysis, regulatory reporting, acquisitions, debt compliance, and financial metrics/ratio analysis. Tim joined Acadian in 2003 after spending seventeen years at a major urban medical center, where he worked in many financial capacities including controller, senior director of patient financial services, and senior director of practice management. Prior to his hospital experience, Tim worked four years as both a staff and senior accountant at Peat, Marwick, and Co. (now known as KPMG), a worldwide public accounting firm, where he worked in both the Audit and Tax Departments. Tim holds a BBA Degree in Accounting from Loyola University and an MBA from the University of New Orleans. He is a CPA and a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
| | | Vice President/Controller: Gregory Hill Gregory Hill, Vice President and Controller, joined Acadian's Accounting Department in 1986 as a staff accountant following his graduation from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Throughout his 23 years of service, he has held the positions of accounting supervisor and accounting manager before moving into his current position of vice president/controller in 2006. He has worked with numerous school, civic, and religious organizations and is currently serving as a troop committee member and institutional representative for the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 19.
| | | Vice President of Human Resources: Joe Lightfoot Joe Lightfoot, Vice President of Human Resources, joined Acadian in May 2001. He has responsibility for compliance with all labor and employment law matters, recruitment and selection, salary and benefits administration, employee record-keeping, and employee relations. Prior to 2001, Joe spent ten years in the hospital industry, serving as administrative director of human resources at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri, and director of human resources and marketing at Ashley Memorial Hospital in Crossett, Arkansas. Joe is a volunteer with the American Cancer Society and the Acadiana United Way. He has served on the Explorer Post 108 Council as well as the board of directors for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of South Central Missouri.
| | | Vice President of Legal and Governmental Affairs: Allyson Pharr Allyson Pharr, General Counsel and Vice President of Legal, Risk Management, and Safety, joined Acadian in 2001 as associate general counsel and was promoted to her current position in 2006. A native of Lafayette, Allyson received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1990 and her Juris Doctorate in Law from Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center, in May of 1993. She is admitted to practice law in the states of Texas and Louisiana and in the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. She is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. Allyson serves the community as current president of the Lafayette Education Foundation, as the board treasurer of the Friends of Louisiana Public Broadcasting, and by volunteering for other charitable foundations, such as the Big Brothers, Big Sisters' Murder Mystery Event.
| | | Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing: Keith Simon Keith Simon, Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing, has been in charge of the department since 1975. He joined the company in 1972 as an EMT in Kaplan, Louisiana, and then managed the Acadian Ambulance dispatch department for two years. He received a degree in 2004 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Management and serves on their Mass Communications Council. Keith is an associate member of the Louisiana Broadcast Association. He currently serves as the vice president of marketing with the Evangeline Area Council Boy Scouts of America, is currently the Explorer Post 108 Charter organization representative, has served as scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 174 in Breaux Bridge, and has three sons who are Eagle Scouts. He has worked with the Diocese of Lafayette for fundraising for the poor and underprivileged since 1987.
|  | Vice President of Fleet Maintenance and Materials Management: Bill Vidacovich Bill Vidacovich has been the Vice President of Fleet Maintenance and Materials Management of Acadian Ambulance Service since 1976 and employed by the company since 1973. He provides direction for all vehicle maintenance operations both in-house as well as those activities that are outsourced. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Mr. Vidacovich graduated from Saint Aloysius High School, and then served in the United States Marine Corps until being honorably discharged in November of 1969. He graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Prior to joining Acadian in October of 1973, Mr. Vidacovich worked part-time for Estorge Surgical Supply in Lafayette. Mr. Vidacovich is also very involved in community programs. He is a former President of the Acadiana Safety Association and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Acadiana. He also served as a Parish Council member and then as a trustee for Saint Edmund Church Parish, a member of the governing board of the Lafayette Catholic Service Centers, and graduated from the Lafayette Leadership Program in 1991. Mr. Vidacovich was involved as a coach for many years covering several youth related sports programs and as a board member of the Arthritis Foundation. He continues his activities as a Vice President of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Acadiana, committee member of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, and speaks to national audiences on subjects related to EMS fleet maintenance.
| | Vice President of Client Services: Asbel Montes Asbel Montes, Vice President of Client Services, began his employment with Acadian in May 2009. He oversees Acadian's revenue cycle management, contract management, and business office process improvements. Twelve years ago, Asbel began working for an ambulance billing and consulting firm. After three years, he decided to work of a private, non-emergency ambulance service. Over the past nine years, he has provided leadership in revenue cycle management to four ambulance agencies located throughout the Southeast. Asbel pursued his education the non-traditional way by attending college online while maintaining a full-time job. He received an Associate's degree in Accounting in 2007 and will graduate in November 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. Asbel has been a member of the American Ambulance Association for five years and has served on their Reimbursement Task Force.
