Communications
The Acadian Ambulance Service communications network allows direct radio or telephone contact with the emergency staff of the receiving hospital in order to coordinate the fastest patient care possible. Air transportation and maintenance are provided by Metro Aviation, Inc.

- Range of 18,030 frequencies
- Direct communications with:
- Law enforcement
- Rescue agencies
- Offshore platforms
- Marine vessels
- 800 MHz radio capability allows direct communication with:
- Law enforcement
- Hospital personnel
Acadian coordinates the air and ground transportation, makes arrangements with the receiving facility, communicates directly with family members, files the patient’s insurance claim, and updates medical teams at both sending and receiving facilities throughout transport.
