Acadian Ambulance 14th Annual Awards Banquet

Vice President of Human Resources Joe Lightfoot served as master of ceremonies for the Acadian Ambulance Service Annual Awards Banquet held at River Oaks in Lafayette where more than 200 guests were in attendance . Acadian honored over 100 employee-owners for exemplary performance, length of service and graduates of Acadian's Comprehensive Education for Success (ACES) program . Jonathan Perry, crowned King of the International Cajun Joke Telling contest, served as the entertainment and kept the crowd “laughing until it hurt.”

Participating in the awards presentations were President & Chief Operating Officer David Pierce, Chief Financial Officer David Kelly, Chief Medical Officer Ross Judice, and Chairman & CEO Richard Zuschlag.

Education Coordinator Gifford Saravia received Acadian's newest award, the second annual Acadian Spirit Award. The Spirit award was given for excelling in professional ability, customer satisfaction, employee relations, community service and helping to improve the Acadian culture. The award was created to honor all active employees in the Acadian Family who have passed away. “We wanted to help preserve the memory of these special men and women, and pay tribute to their lives and the contributions they made to Acadian Ambulance Service,” said President David Pierce.

Recognized as Spirit Award Finalists were Nicole Payne, operations administrative assistant, Ed Smith, EMT-Paramedic, Kevin O'Connor, paramedic field supervisor, Craig Hamilton, EMT-Paramedic, and Maggie Belaire, operations administrative assistant .

The Acadian Pride Award for exemplary customer service was presented to Kevin O'Connor, paramedic field supervisor, and Craig Hamilton, EMT-Paramedic.

Zuschlag expressed his gratitude saying the success of and growth of the company has resulted from the kind of dedication and ability shown by the employees being honored. “I am proud of the employees of Acadian Ambulance,” Zuschlag said. “I am excited about the future of our company.”

Zuschlag concluded the ceremony with a salute to employee spouses for their support and patience, and to the senior management team.

Acadia Parish:

Pictured are Baton Rouge 's Mike Loewer, fleet maintenance supervisor and Paramedic David Finley, field training officer, who received 15-year service awards, and Paul Chustz, paramedic field supervisor, received a 10-year service award.

 

Beauregard Parish:

Acadian Ambulance Service held its 14th Annual Awards Banquet where over 100 employee-owners were honored for exemplary performance, length of service, and graduates of Acadian's Comprehensive Education for Success (ACES) program.
